Whether teacher or student, these pens are lovely things. I love the color choices in this particular pack. They're excellent for grading in or keeping notes organized and color coordinated.(Incidentally, the company is very good about replacing defective pens. They don't often break down, but I've used them for several years and occasionally had one turn leaky on me. I've explained the problem and sent the offending pen to the pilot company and had it replaced by 2 pens (compensation for the shipping costs).)Amazon's price is way high for this product, but they did have this particular pack which has the particular shade of blue I was looking for. If I was less picky about color, I'd probably save myself some money here. Occasionally, you can find this pack in Walmart for about $4.60 ish.Is the cost worth it?I believe it is, but you'll have to make your own decision. If you like gel pens, these are a great brand and you should like them. I have friends who dislike gel pens because of how they write (and being left handed) ... gel ink can smear more easily than regular, cheapo pens ink. Also, you may want to take a look at the size of the pen tip. .5 is thin, .7 is normal, though a tad on the thick side...and .10 is crazy thick. I accidentally picked up a pack once that had .10.
