LeBoeuf pays tribute to one of America’s Founding Fathers, the second President of the United States, with this stunning limited edition fountain pen. John Adams (1735-1826) was born in Quincy, Massachusetts, graduated from Harvard College, and became an eminent New England lawyer. He served in the Continental Congress from 1774 to 1777, during which he chaired the committee to draft the Declaration of Independence. He was appointed the first Minister to the Court of St. James after the Revolutionary War and went on to become the first Vice President of the U.S. under George Washington. In 1796, he was elected the second President; after one term, he was succeeded by Thomas Jefferson and retired from public life. Adams died on the 50th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, on July 4, 1826. LeBoeuf’s commemorative pen is crafted in Cranberry and Patriot Blue acrylic with black and gold appointments, including a gold-plated coin bearing Adams’s portrait and his signature embossed on the barrel in gold. Limited edition of just 125. Fine or Medium.
